Inventor of electric pressure cooker

Wang Yongguang, the inventor of electric pressure cooker and retired engineer of the Mechanical Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, formally applied to the State Intellectual Property Office for the invention patent of the electric pressure cooker's load structure on January 9, 1991. According to China's Patent Law, the term of protection for invention patents is 20 years, which means that Wang Yongguang's patent right can be exercised until January 8, 2011.
