Usage Of Pressure Cooker

The pressure cooker shows its advantages only when it is used correctly and is durable. The use of the pressure cooker should follow the following methods.

1. Wipe oil

The sealing ring of a new pot that has not been used has high elasticity. Please add a small amount of food oil to the top and bottom of the pot as shown by the arrow in the figure to facilitate the initial opening and closing. The lid, body and handle of the pot shall be cleaned before each use to facilitate the closing of the lid.

2. Put food

When putting food, food and water shall not exceed four fifths of the pot capacity, and water or soup shall not be less than 400ml (about two bowls).

3. Close the cover

(1) Before closing the cover, check whether the exhaust pipe is unblocked, the anti blocking cover is clean, the safety valve is intact, and the float moves up and down freely and is in the falling position.

(2) Place the pot cover flat on the pot body to fix the pot body, and let the pot cover rotate clockwise as shown in the figure until the upper and lower handles are completely coincident. At this time, it just moves to the working position, and the float valve is completely exposed.

4. Heating

After the cover is closed, it can be heated with a hot fire. When a small amount of steam is slowly discharged from the exhaust pipe, the pressure limiting valve shall be fastened to the exhaust pipe, and then the float will rise until the exhaust pipe "hisses". After the exhaust pipe is exhausted, the furnace temperature can be appropriately reduced to maintain the exhaust until the cooking is completed.

5. Cooling and venting

After cooking, it can be naturally cooled at room temperature. If you want to eat it immediately, you can use the forced cooling method (that is, drench it with water or immerse it in water) to reduce the pressure. After cooling, you can gently lift the pressure limiting valve to drain the remaining gas.

6. Cover opening

If no steam is discharged from the exhaust pipe and the float falls, the cover can be opened in a counterclockwise direction. If the float does not fall, it indicates that there is still pressure in the pot. At this time, the air pressure interlock device will play a role of insurance. It is impossible to open the lid of the pot. Do not open the lid forcefully. Use chopsticks to press down the indicating valve to clear the residual gas in the pot before opening the lid.
